Import your data from CSV

Moving from another app or a spreadsheet? Gridflo can import your existing tasks, notes, people, and goals from a CSV file. To get started, open Settings from the sidebar and select Import Data.

The import is a guided four-step wizard:

Step 1: Upload

  1. Drag and drop your CSV file onto the upload area, or click Browse Files to pick one
  2. Files must be in .csv format and under 10MB — export your data as CSV from your old app or spreadsheet first

Step 2: Map Columns

  1. Choose the Block Type you're importing — tasks, notes, people, or goals
  2. Match each column in your CSV to a Gridflo field. A title is always required, everything else is optional
  3. For date columns, pick the format that matches your data — DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, or YYYY-MM-DD
  4. Click Preview Import when your mappings look right

Not sure how to structure your file? Click Download Template to get a ready-made CSV template for the type you selected, fill it in, and upload that instead.

Step 3: Preview

The preview shows how many rows are valid and how many have problems. Any errors are listed with the row number, the column, and what needs fixing — for example, an unrecognized priority value or a date in the wrong format. You can click Back to Mapping to adjust your mappings, or fix the file and start over.

Step 4: Import

Click the Import button to bring in all valid rows. When you see Import Complete!, your new items are ready to use everywhere in Gridflo. Rows with errors are skipped rather than imported incorrectly, so it's safe to run. If you have more files, click Import Another File to repeat the process.
