Tags and links

In Gridflo, notes don't live in isolation. Every note has a collapsible "Tags & Links" section under its title where you can add tags and connect the note to other items in your workspace — tasks, people, and other notes.

Tag a note

  1. Open the note and click "Tags & Links" to expand it
  2. Click the tags field and start typing
  3. Pick an existing tag from the list, or keep typing to create a new one

Gridflo also suggests tags based on what you've written — click a suggestion to add it. Tags make notes easy to find later: you can filter the All Notes list by tag, as covered in Organizing your notes.

Link a note to other items

Below the tags you'll find Related Blocks. Use the "Search blocks to link..." field to find and attach tasks, people, or other notes. Gridflo can also suggest relevant items to link based on the note's title and content.

Linking works both ways — a note about a meeting can link to the person you met and the tasks that came out of it, and those items link back to the note.

Link while you write

You can also create links without leaving the editor, using inline commands in the note body:

  • Type /task to search your tasks and insert a link to one
  • Type /link to search and link any item — tasks, people, or notes
  • Type /new to create a brand-new item and link it in one step

Anything you link inline is automatically added to the note's Related Blocks too, so the connection shows up in the Tags & Links section as well.
